Yes to both. Free has no time limit and asks for no payment method. It includes the complete writing studio and every AI surface—continuity analysis, Story Bible extraction, grounded Chat, text Discourse, and Bookclub—with 50 credits that renew every month. Voice Discourse needs a paid plan, because it draws on voice minutes.

Most of it, yes. The whole-manuscript continuity pass—the one that tracks time, travel, objects, injuries, and cause and effect across the entire book—covers manuscripts up to 20,000 words on Free, so a full-length draft needs a paid plan for that pass. Everything else works at any length: character and lore analysis, structure and pacing, Story Bible extraction, Chat, Discourse, and Bookclub. Paid plans lift the word cap entirely, which leaves credits as the only limit.

A credit is the unit Enspeller uses to meter AI work. Analyses, Chat, Bookclub, and Story Bible extraction draw from your balance, and a job that reads more of your manuscript costs more than a small one. Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred or redeemed. They renew monthly—on Free and on paid plans, including annual subscriptions—and unused credits do not roll over.

There are no paid credit overages at launch. AI pauses when your balance reaches zero until credits renew next month or until you upgrade. The writing studio keeps working the whole time, so an empty balance never blocks your drafting or export. Increasing a plan or seat count adds credits immediately; decreases affect the next usage cycle.

Pro annual is $204/year—effectively $17/month, a 15% saving versus monthly. Team annual seats save 20% and are billed annually. Pro Max plans are monthly-only. Credits still renew each month on annual subscriptions.

Buy at least two seats and keep at least one Standard seat. Mix Standard and Premium up to 500 seats. Every seat shares one monthly or annual cadence. Active members and pending invitations occupy seats. A Premium seat gives that member 10,000 credits and 6,000 voice minutes instead of the 1,800 credits and 1,200 minutes a Standard seat contributes; it does not change shared project concurrency.

Stripe hosts checkout, invoices, payment methods, billing details, and cancellation. Subscription changes can involve mid-cycle proration. Cancellation is available at period end. Subscription prices are currently shown and billed in USD. AI usage is not billed in currency at all—it is metered in credits, and your plan’s monthly credits are included in the subscription price.
