California Privacy Notice

1. Scope

This California notice supplements the Privacy Policy for California residents where the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended (“CCPA”), applies. Terms defined by the CCPA have the same meaning here.

2. Categories, sources, and purposes

We disclose these categories to service providers and contractors for the purposes above, and may disclose information when legally required or in a covered business transaction. Current processors are identified in the Subprocessor Register. Stripe may also process some payment data under its own legal obligations.

3. Retention

We retain each category only as long as reasonably necessary for the disclosed purpose. Criteria include whether your account or subscription is active, whether data is needed to provide a requested feature, security and dispute needs, legal recordkeeping duties, and backup rotation. Project content is kept until you or an authorized organization owner deletes it or closes the account, subject to short-lived backups and legal holds. Payment and acceptance records may be kept longer where tax, accounting, contract, or fraud-prevention law requires it.

4. No sale, targeted-advertising sharing, or financial incentives

We do not sell personal information and do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, including for consumers under 16 whom we know to be under 16. We do not offer financial incentives or price differences in exchange for personal information. Accordingly, Enspeller does not currently provide a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link.

5. Your California rights

Subject to legal exceptions, you may ask us to:

• confirm whether we process your personal information and provide access to it;
• provide specific pieces and categories of personal information;
• correct inaccurate personal information;
• delete personal information; and
• explain collection, use, and disclosure practices.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right. Because we do not sell, share, or use sensitive personal information beyond permitted purposes, the related opt-out and limitation rights do not presently require a separate control.

6. Submit a request

Use the privacy controls in your Enspeller account where available, or email compliance@eriastudios.com with “California privacy request” in the subject. Tell us the right you wish to exercise and the email address associated with your account. Do not send passwords, government IDs, or manuscript content by email unless we specifically request a secure method.

We will verify requests in a way proportionate to their sensitivity, usually by control of the account or email address and matching account information. An authorized agent may submit a request, but we may require signed permission and direct verification with you unless law provides otherwise. If we deny a request, we will explain why and any available appeal or complaint route.
